Do you ask that question, why do professional SEO services fail?
So then, despite it being revered as the new holy-grail of modern marketing, why does Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) actually fail you?
Because most search optimisation campaigns are naively structured to feed the search engine rather than what the buyer is actually looking for.
This means, your failed SEO has been driving traffic to your website for the sheer sake of numbers rather than deliver people through online means who actually are looking for a product or service you offer.
I can make this simple comparison to illustrate my point:
Imagine your business is a retail chocolate shop in a town of 100,000 people where everyone is addicted to chocolate, so every second store is a chocolate retailer. Your SEO services activity is either good or poor, so either of the two results could be yours.
Poor Search Optimisation:
- Brings 50,000 chocolate addicts to your front door.
- They gaze at your window display and walk off down the street without entering.
Good Search Optimisation:
- Brings 10,000 chocolate addicts to your front door and all of them come in and talk to you about their needs because they have already identified you are very likely to give them what they want.
- To the majority, you sell some chocolate and will probably see them back several times as a valuable lifetime customer.
A search engine has a lot of power, but like anything with computated algorithms it needs to be shown in proper detail what it needs to look for, so make sure it is targeting your likely new clients rather than huge numbers of randoms that have no interest in what your business can supply.
You may even still be thinking 'what is SEO?" That's perfectly normal, and our free download can certainly shed some light on the subject.
But dont forget, knowing what your potential buyer wants and putting this into practice will make sure your search is finely tuned to work for your business.
