Did you know there is a whole psychology behind the use of different colours in marketing and branding? Well there is and this info-graphic provides some insights into how colours influence people.
All of my life, when thinking about babies, I relate blue with boys and pink with girls because that is what I have been exposed to. To my surprise, this has only been the case since WW2 and is a result of the 'Baby Boomer' generation wanting to stimulate a growth in population. Interestingly, prior to WW2, the colour most associated with babies was white, purely because is was a practical colour choice and easy to bleach.
